We met Werner Bargsten after Superstorm Sandy. He helped us remove materials destroyed by the flood. We couldn’t bare to remove the ruined books from the bookshelves where they had expanded from the water. With crowbar and sawzall he took it on. When it came time to sell our home and find a place that would accommodate 2 artists with living and studio space we turned to Werner. It isn’t easy letting go of where you have lived, that you have loved, cared for and renovated and re-renovated. Werner was excellent. He helped us understand the process and figure out how to keep our sanity through it all. He advised us as to what we should and shouldn’t do to be successful in the market. He helped us find a new home that is so perfect we still can’t believe it. He knows wonderful resources and experts in every field. AND, maybe the most important thing is he is incredibly honest and trustworthy. He perseveres and perfectly matches buyer and home and seller. I most highly recommend Werner for your next real estate transaction. He is a jewel.
Bought a Condo home in 2016 in Downtown, Jersey city, NJ.
I had a great experience working with Werner. He knows the area well and gave me honest appraisals of the property. He also had a very good sense of my aesthetic preferences. He helped me to buy a condo which I absolutely love and assisted me in securing a decent mortgage and finding a good attorney for the settlement. Because Werner is both easygoing and responsive, the process of purchasing a condo was much easier (and quicker) than I expected. I highly recommend working with him.
Bought a Multiple Occupancy home in 2015 in The heights, Jersey city, NJ.
My husband and I were searching for our home in Jersey City. As first time buyers we really needed the advise and guidance that Werner provided. He was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. We are extremely happy having had Werner to help us find our home!
Bought a home in 2014 in NJ 07302.
Werner has been very helpful in helping me and my wife to buy a condo in Jersey City. He has been in Jersey City for long enough (along with his antique bicycle…sort of) and has a very good understanding of the current real estate market conditions in the Jersey City/Hoboken area. He has been very helpful in showing us the flood maps when we had some concerns regarding the flood zone which was one of the critical factors in our decision making. We were one of the very first people to know about the condo (we bought ) when it came out in the market which helped us to have enough time in making our final decision to make an offer. He also helped us with very good referrals to a real estate Attorney and a Home Inspector and both referrals worked out very well for us to have an expected closing. He was very helpful and consistently managed to go above and beyond in having us to close the deal in a timely manner. He would be very patient to listen to you and would not hesitate to give an honest and unbiased opinion which has helped us to a great extent in making our decision. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience with him being on our side. I would not hesitate to go with him again to buy a home or condo.
Found a tenant for a Single Family home in Downtown, Jersey city, NJ.
When my wife and I needed to find reliable tenants for our home in downtown Jersey City, we entrusted the listing to Werner. We could not have asked for a better agent, or a finer advocate. We were impressed with his knowledge of the Jersey City housing market and his genuine desire to find the best long-term solution for us. He gave solid market advice regarding rent, and unvarnished feedback. We took his advice to make our home more marketable, and Werner quickly found us a great tenant. I would not hesitate to use him again, and recommend him without reservation.
We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in Jersey City, NJ
Yes, the caption says things didn’t work out. Even though our search for an apartment was unsuccessful, I’m still giving Werner an excellent recommendation. My apartment hunt in Jersey City–one of the worst buyers’ markets I’d ever seen–was frought with frustration. I met with broker after broker, and found that they did little more to earn their commission other than show up and unlock a door. Many were unapproachable and dishonest. Others were incompetent. Most peddled the same hackneyed rental listings. Werner was the one broker who stood out. He was always available by phone and eager to talk. He was easy to schedule viewings on a moment’s notice. He was attentive and genuinely concerned about my apartment search. Most importantly, he went out of his way to find good deals that I might have otherwise missed and even searched for listings that were not yet on the market. Werner treated me as if I was a priority rather than a mere commission. Although I eventually found an apartment through another agency, Werner made a lasting impression. I would certainly recommend him for an apartment search.
Found a tenant for a home in Jersey City, NJ.
Werner was recommended to me by a friend. I found him to be friendly, courteous and most important responsive. I live 40 miles from the rental and he helped by coming to the apt every day to let in the contractors who were repainting the apartment. I respected his opinion about pricing and he was honest when he told me that the initial price was higher than the market was willing to pay. Within a few weeks of re-pricing the apartment was rented. Will use him again
Helped me rent a home in Jersey City, NJ.
We are new to Jersey City, so Werner took my husband on a tour of the downtown neighborhood to talk about good locations. He knew a lot about the area and sent us to some great restaurants (and gave us the name of a great emergency mechanic after we moved to town!). We love our apartment and feel that we are paying a fair price. Werner went beyond our expectations in finding us an apartment.
